It’s been a hungama everywhere since 2020– about NEP– National Education Policy
everywhere, many know about this, many are still doing research on this and very few
applied this at state level as well and many states not even bothered for the same.
On aSerious note, the acronym carries a huge transformative vision for India’s
education landscape.
In a simple way to mention here remembering about few decades ago we were having
the buffet menu with only two dishes in that.
Things changed, Things Transformed and due to this many changes, revolutions and up
gradation. The Policy also focuses on foundational literacy and numeracy, making sure
kids can read, write and calculate– because knowing trigonometry is great, but being
able to count change at a tea stall or at a kirana stories sometimes more useful.
NEP also pushes for mother tongue instruction till grade 5, which means I might finally
understand my old Mathematic Lessons in my native language.
As a part of this revolutionary change, implementation is the real test. But if done it in
right spirit, NEP won’t just produce engineers and doctors– it will nurture thinkers,
creators, and maybe even happy adults. Looking at Industry Up gradation or at
Employable thinking NEP it also helps or this churning out process will definitely help
job seekers, with creative adaptable and emotionally intelligent citizens.
Let’s remember– Education Shapes Futures and we’re all stake holders in getting right
