Reddy's career path started in a distinctive way for a leader in education. A graduate in Chemical Engineering from RV College of Engineering, Bangalore, with over 18 years of experience in Bulk Drug manufacturing and involvement in the design and construction team of a Nitric Acid Plant. He has had a significant tenure at Grasim Industries (Aditya Birla Group). Ascending to the position of Production Manager in Rayon Grade Pulp production, he played a pivotal role in Six Sigma initiatives, World-Class Manufacturing practices, and Value Maximization Campaigns, which garnered him internal accolades for promoting operational excellence and ongoing improvement.
Reddy smoothly transitioned into the IT services sector, spending 12 years with major companies such as Zensar, Infosys, and Tech Mahindra. In this role, he led various SAP PP-QM implementations using the ASAP methodology across the pharmaceutical, chemical, and dairy sectors. As a certified Prince2 Project Manager, he effectively executed four worldwide rollouts and expertly handled significant offshore delivery for Tech Mahindra’s ambitious Nestlé Globe Project. His groundbreaking contributions received continual praise, evidenced by accolades like the "Grand Salute – Live Wire" Award, the "Standing Ovation Award" for enhancing CSI metrics, and the "Globe Innovator Award" for fostering a culture of root cause analysis among project teams.
Currently, Reddy applies his vast corporate and IT knowledge to mold the upcoming wave of professionals. In his role as Dean of the IIC Cell at Ashoka Women’s Engineering College, he plays a crucial role in connecting academia with the industry. His duties include organizing vital internships, professional lectures, and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs). He also spearheads important training programs, improving both the technical skills and interpersonal abilities of undergraduate and graduate students. Devotes his time to assisting at a specialized school.
