Born in Kolar, in a middle-class family of least educated parents, with initial schooling in a small town, entrepreneurship was unimaginable. But like they say, grit and determination does it all. Prathima had been clear with her intent to be an entrepreneur from the day she joined her engineering. And on the day of reckoning, when all her classmates chose the plush world of corporate life and then flying off to greener pastures, Prathima was clear she would work for herself, create a mark as a woman. She had hosen Make in India way back then.
Consult Us was the result of her drive and passion to carve a niche in the challenging environment of manufacturing. Starting in the year 2005, she had to face many challenges. Being a woman was the most challenging one to overcome as she recollects. Most companies would not take her seriously in the beginning. Some would ask – who is your boss? But then you are known by what you create. Her focus and knowledge of manufacturing was unparalleled and so began her journey of customized, best- in-class ERP solutions for the SME.
Manufacturing and Software were alien to each other. She was discouraged at every step by all. And to be fair, it sure was a tough world. A completely men’s world, the manufacturing; guys in production and administration who were ignorant and highly resistive to anything new and then the thought of travelling to multiple industrial locations, she had ventured into the unknown.
Today with prestigious clientele like Microplastics India, Funskool and many others, ConsultUs, led by Prathima employs more than 15 development engineers. All coming from a humble background, ConsultUs has been focused on providing employment opportunities to the smaller town talent at all Running a company literally on her own with little support from any quarters, Prathima has excelled as a woman entrepreneur, surpassing all challenges, providing employment to the talented young, building great and customized ERP solutions for the manufacturing sector. Started with one women show now it’s a team of 15 people handling more than 40 clients across INDIA and extending to other continents like Australia . specialized in customized ERP solution with 100% implantation success rate a unique and niche kind of support which has benchmarked my implementation n service in the manufacturing circle

Active participant in many women forums .Been on advisory board of Sakthi which empowers women and also ensures women health and hygiene like using menstrual cups and conducted women workshop for more than 1000 womens in MPPL Active Member of Rotary e club of Bengaluru Sakhi which is an all women rotary club. Adopted a school and built an computer lab . PRESIDENT ELECT OF 2025 2026 of the club been actively helping women ENTREPRENEUR to establish and run the start ups successfully
Conducted a THINDI MELA for the women entrepreneurs and job fairs for the Gradated students. Actively organized and Participated in womens cricket Rotary v/s Lions club Working with Taliru Foundation which is a NGO for uplifiting womens from low income background , training them in AUTO DRIVING with Life skills to manage on the roads
