“You don’t find your purpose overnight you grow into it, one experience at a time.”
The person and the professional I am today has been a journey of reflection, recalibration, and resilience. I did not enter my career with a singular definition of success. Instead, I was learning to navigate life, understand my values, and discover who I wanted to become. It was the accumulation of experiences and the influence of people around me that gradually refined my direction and ambition.
One of the most profound influences in my life has been my brother, Akhil Padhy. Watching his journey has been both humbling and deeply motivating. He faced uncertainty and yet chose tenacity every single time. His life has been built step by step through grit, self-belief, and an unwavering refusal to give up. Witnessing his transformation reinforced a powerful truth for me: resilience is not an abstract virtue; it is a daily choice that can redefine one’s destiny.
As my career progressed, my sense of purpose became clearer. One belief that anchors my work is my commitment to inspire women through my own journey. I firmly believe that financial and emotional independence are not optional they are essential. Independent women are confident decision-makers, resilient leaders, and catalysts for meaningful change. I strive to encourage women to recognize their strengths, trust their abilities, and pursue their goals with conviction.
Another core belief that has shaped who I am today is resilience. Life and work have taught me that growth rarely comes from comfort; it emerges from challenge, uncertainty, and the ability to adapt. Endurance has strengthened my perspective, deepened my empathy, and helped me remain grounded. It has taught me to respond thoughtfully and to see obstacles not as barriers, but as opportunities to grow stronger.
At BDO RISE, I have had the privilege of working with leaders whose resilience and perseverance have been nothing short of inspiring. Their openness to new ideas and diverse perspectives and the spirit of collaboration, have made them into leaders I would like to emulate.
As I continue this journey, I remain guided by a simple yet powerful belief – Growth is not about arriving, it is about becoming. As Helen Keller so aptly said, “Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.”
